Free Myself

I write to ease my pain

If I inspire another it's a bonus

It brings a different kind of peace

With every word, and with every rhyme

It lifts my spirit each time

I don't want to be the next Nikki Giovanni or Maya Angelou

I just found a thing to lift a weight when i feel a little low

This poetry is my freedom

This poetry is my joy,

My hidden joy

I write for SELF -freedom

I write for me
