I am Accidental.

I wasn't supposed to be here.

But mother said I was welcomed with Christmas cheer.

The winter chill never left.

I am Accidental.

I didn't mean to hurt my sister.

I don't remember what insults I threw were.

But she still loves me through and through.

I am Accidental.

I wasn't supposed to be clever.

The doctors' medical words and later lies were a blur.

But I'm here and I accel at school.

I am Accidental.

I wasn't suppose to be the frustrating child.

But I noticed the bitterniss as they smiled.

And their words still echo in my skull.

I am Accidental.

I wasn't supposed to fall in love with a girl.

I wasn't supposed to see the love in her eyes swirl.

She smiles and my world lights up.

I am Accidental.

My parents always said to try.

But everyone else asked why.

Why put in the effort?

And My answers were always pert.

Why wouldn't I?!

Why wouldn't I want to be able to keep my head held high?

You tell me I'm not enough.

I'm that flame you try to snuff.

I may be Accidental.

But I'll tell you that, no matter what, I'm capable.
