Free as a Sparrow

I'm falling In a pit of deep despair All my mistakes haunt me over and over again and again They follow me They push me down farther into this grave I've dug for myself. The darkness threatens to consume me completely, Its thorns of judgement dig deep in my soul. I scream for help: "GOD! SAVE ME! I NEED YOU!" My cry is heard by the ears of Love. He reaches His loving hand down and makes the darkness disappear in its hell-bent fury, He lifts me out of the quicksand I was in He takes my heart fixes it; all of my mistakes He wipes out My slate's clean. Freedom at last! At last! At last! I am made anew My soul can now shine free as a sparrow.
