Poetry is Text,

Texts that are put into the minds of the soul

That can only express themselves in ways that translate

 Into images that others can relate.

 Poetry is rhythm and rhyme that keep a beat to entertain

To set off the endorphins in the brain,

and feel the pleasure in the pain.

Poetry is Love,

A love that can express

The way one wants to caress

The intimacy in its purest form  

A light that shines away from harm

Poetry is Release,

A scream out loud when no one previously heard

And are now captivated in the words

That shows all the emotion that is held inside

Is never released because of the pride
