Infinite Destruction

Without warning a thief crept into the darkness
With a selfish yearning,

A naive witness, wounded

A turning point

Destruction began

Weary of questions

The shadow barks orders

In complete blackness

He clutches his prey
Mind focused on whiteness

Doubting connection to a new strange dream

Eyes and mouth cemented tight

Paralyzed, unable to move

Unknowing why or how this agony repeats

A threat to harm loved ones follows

In hopes to revive cooperation

Remorse overwhelms

A trapped scream from within

An unexplained shame begins

Nightmares follow

Living in dread of the demons return

Lost, unable to find a place to sleep

Legs too weak to run, and voice too soft to cry out

A failed attempt to forget

Many moons later

Memories relapse

Dark spirit presence visits

Repeat offenses

Logic offers no relief

God grants an internal source of strength

Striving for solid ground

Masking insecurities

Sometimes even with momentum

Even after escape the nightmare continues

Another offender disguised as hope

Trips the new recruit

Charm blinds, falling forward

Into infinite destruction once again
