Okay, When?

Relationships are a give and take

You took so much from me and gave me just as much.

Well, maybe a little less.

You couldn't give me all of you. You never gave all of you to anyone.

That's okay. Because I love you.

I love you so it was okay when you said you didn't want to tell me why you were crying.

I love you so it was okay when you told me that you were lying.

I love you so it was okay when you shut me out.

I love you so it was okay when I wasn't allowed to shout.

I love you so it was okay when you would play a mean prank.

I love you so it was okay when I didn't check my flank.

I mean, why would I? Why would I need have my walls up and second guess us?

I loved you so it wasn't okay when you asked me to change.

I loved you so it wasn't okay when I called you strange.

I loved you so it wasn't okay when you wouldn't talk to me.

I loved you so it wasn't okay when you would be laughing and I wouldn't be.

I loved you so it wasn't okay when I would feel like I was less.

I loved you so it wasn't okay when I would make you stress.

I loved you so it wasn't okay when you left me.

I loved you so it wasn't okay that I let you.

But I did. We weren't always fair to each other.

But that's okay.

And I wouldn't trade our time together for anything.

Because I loved you.
