Free You

If you really knew

The damage

I could do

Would you find it

Somewhere deep in you

To keep on loving me

As you are now

I stand above

Everything real

In your mind

And as I run out of time

I wonder

How hard I'll hit the ground

When I fall from your pedestal

Who will this hurt more

And who will be the first

To lock the door

Hor far will I go

To get away

To escape

The one thing

The only one

Who's ever loved me right

Who's ever believed in me

How far will I go

To set myself free

From the best thing

That's ever happened to me

You can sit there

All night

And tell me you know me

Till your face turns blue

But I know me

Better then you do

Or ever have

I know you love the good

But I know the bad

Up close and personal

And as you float above me

Loving me desperately

I sink

Deeper and deep inside myself

Determined not to crack

And take you down with me

I take it on my back

I carry it on my own

Alone

Because I never want to hurt you

With my demons

You love me

I know you do

And I know the words you whisper

Are all true

You hold me close

And you beg me

Just to let you in

You whisper please

And I feel it

I feel your heart

So pure and fragile

In my hands

And I wonder

How long it'll be

Before I break everything

Between you and me

Just to free you
