We only live once

that’s what we’re told

live like you’re dying

like there is no tomorrow.

Tomorrow is never promised to us anyway.

Make new friends

Meet new people

Cleanse yourself

That’s what you need

So many people

Telling me how to live

Wanting me to cleanse

Like you were an addiction

I tell everyone not to worry

You were no longer in my system

I wasn’t going to fall so easy

Not again or ever

LCaldwell

I am a writer, blogger and poet. I enjoy writing and do so when the mood strikes me. I have been known to stop what I am doing to jot down a poem. There are days when the words flow from my mind like water. I am also a parent to 3 amazing young men. I am married to an amazing man as well. We rang in the new year as newly weds. Each year we celebrate our anniversary as we close another chapter in the book of life.
