Take off your shades and open your eyes perhaps, just maybe you’ll appreciate the twinkle of the nighttime skies Turn off your music, unclog those ears take a moment and listen who knows what you’ll hear The world is shrinking with our lightning speeds with our tablets and iphones everything’s a breeze But that’s just the problem with these modern days we can't think for ourselves sure we can text, but independence? It’s all lost in the haze The haze of technology and blur of high speeds what’s the rush with it all? We’ve got time so stop, sit and enjoy the colors of the trees Sit down, take a breath listen to the scripture of the leaves lay back and open up your senses, give yourself a rest A rest from the hustle and bustle of human time free yourself from the commotion sway to the beat of the wind, like a wind chime There’s nothing we can do to save human kind life is speeding up and whether you like it or not you’re along for the ride This ride, you can’t get off it you can’t freeze time you’ll never fit it in your pocket So all you can do is make the best of it all make mistakes and progress slowly there’s no need to run - don’t be afraid to crawl Just remember to cherish the moments you get the moments of peace and freedom cherish these, and you’ll be all set
