Freedom

My body grasps for air

But my throat slams it from my grasp

My heart pounds on my chest

Wanting to be free

From my body encasing prison

My blood is slowly trickling away

Giving up on my Godforsaken life

However, my veins sing with excitement

Ready to explode out from under my skin

My muscles do not fight this fight though

Instead they collapse right from under me

Paralyzed from fear

What if I can’t be set free?

My eyes roll through my life

Now I know, I am free

Free from my unfortunate life

Free from the breaking of inside

My wings spread out wide

And leave my wretched body

Soaring from above

I scream out my Freedom,

My Happiness

But wait!

My loved ones

The ones that swore they loved me

The people that gave me life

Have no tears in their gleaming eyes

My wings snap and I

Fall…..Fall

Into my broken casket
