Freedom
Free from chains and broken hearts
Free from life's obstacles and challenges
Free to be me, to show who I really am
I am free to be a woman, I'm free to love, I'm free to live
Free to be African-American, Free to write
Free to be whoever I want in life
I'm free to learn, I'm free to teach
I'm free to sing, to let my voice belt out into the streets
Free to speak my mind, to say how I feel
Free to have and raise a family, free to be a mother and a wife
I'm free to do whatever I want because
Freedom is my spirit, Freedom is what my anscetors fought for.....
Freedom is my life
