Freedom

Because I love you

I don't press

When secrets slip between your eyes

Because I love you

I wait for you to tell me

Because I love you

I hold you when you cry

Wipe away tears with tissues

and sympathy

I've been there too

Because I love you

I forgive

The small mistakes I know I've made too

Because I love you

I tell you be safe when you leave

I don't ask where you're going

Because I love you

I show you, when you want me to

When you decide I can

Because I love you

I let you go

When you need time

To be alone

Because I love you

I let you go

Because my love isn't meant

To be slavery

It's freedom

True love isn't meant to hold you down. It's meant to set you free.
