Freedom

I can't express it

It's just something

That seeps into my spirit

Like cold water

Sliding down my spine

Like the feeling of ice

Going through the vein

Not at all unpleasant

In fact

Quite the opposite

It's cool and calming

And oh, so liberating!

It's just like

I've been broken free

Free from the chain

This feeling

Comes with liberty

I feel like I've run a mile

Yet not lost breath

No,

Ten thousand miles

And not at all

Like I've broken a sweat

It's freeing;

This freedom

Liberating;

This freedom

Consuming;

This freedom

Like I've lost a part of myself

I cannot get back

...that I don't want to get back

Because

Once you get a taste of freedom

It is all you crave

...and then some.
