Freedom

(poems go here) Freedom Go out and explore. Live life to the fullest. Live, love, laugh. Don’t let the sorrows of your past haunt you. Don’t be afraid to love again. Smile and cry but never give up. All this I tell him, but I can’t seem to do it myself. Sometimes I feel afraid. When I look into his eyes I see his soul I see sincerity I see a man that regardless of his troubles continues to fight. He examines my soul my inner thoughts as much as I examine his. When we play a song and sing together it’s as if time were non-existent. I feel afraid when my heart skips a beat at the sound of his voice. I feel afraid to love. O why? Why can’t I do this? Why must the troubles of my past haunt my life? I am imprisoned within my own conscience. The troubles of my life come as mad men to hunt me down. They are like needles upon my flesh. I want to be free. Free of this torment Free of this life style I have created for myself. Free to show this world who I really am. I want to be free to love. I sit here in my piano and my fingers begin to play. They play for the freedom my soul has always desired. The music seems almost angelic for it elevates me to the extremities of heaven. The extremities where freedom rings. Where the birds chirp and where the clouds embrace me with love. O how great is thy music to my ears. O how I wish I could play you all day And escape this bitter and lonely world.
