Freedom

Sometimes, the words don't come

Sometimes, the thoughts are scary

Sometimes, you feel alone

You get along, but barely

And then you write

The words begin to flow

The pen is light and airy

Away the thoughts blow

And weight they no longer carry

Poetry is an outlet

One that calms the soul

No longer am I in debt

I am free and in control.
