Where children run and hide

From the ricocheting bullets

Clinging to their friends

Protecting those they love

A school ground war zone

Why is battle constant?

One line on paper 300 years old

Locked government

Debating lives

Children shot

Lives lost

What for?

Our fleeting future

Trickling sand in the hourglass

That break far too soon

America

Where one school death isn't a headline

Where the childrens laughs turn to screams

Where generations crumble

Because pressure

Makes

All

Glass

Shatter
