Freedom Fires versus Oppressive Storms

Lush,

Green leaves glisten

With the sweet scent of mourning dew,

Kept refreshed by the nightly rain.

The expansive clouds

Watching over their Garden

Uniformed and

Perfectly trimmed

From above the clouds watch

As the their showers supply the growth

As they keep the trees in line

Trees always trimmed

Always perfect

Always systematic

A/ways organized

Always in borders

However

As the leaves die

Falling to the ground

Disregarded be the clouds

A mistake on their part

Years past

The leaves dried

They crack and break

Fuel for the inevitable fire: growing

The clouds have built confidence

They have grown large

And black as midnight

Ready to bring their massive downpour

Strike

Lightening shoots down

Like a blazing rod of limelight

Giving purpose the brush

The spark has fallenupon the leaves

Quickly a fire explodes with scalding heat

Consuming the garden

Devouring all in its path

The clouds are enraged

Showering bullets of water to the fire

But to no avail

The flames engulf the garden

And burn free
