Freedom for Frogs
The sun light dims near Marywood pond
Freedom for frogs, freedom for frogs
The moon wakes up from it's slumber beyond
Freedom for frogs freedom for frogs
The blue heron tucks it's neck in to sleep and two eyes peer out of the dark and the deep
The coast is clear the heron's asleep and soon all you hear is the wind and a peep...
One by one their heads soon emerge, the sound starts low and becomes a great surge
Soon toads join in the melodious song and the pond explodes in a glorious throng
The salamanders swim to the surface and see that Marywood pond is a frog jamboree
The light of the moon captures the scene and glistens on dew in the evergreen tree
The sunlight soon peeks over the hills it is morning and the blue Jay releases a heart wrenching warning
They must now return to the safety below, but they know when the darkness of night starts to show
There will be freedom for frogs freedom for frogs
