Freedom Pleeaase!
This test,
That test,
They're killing me at best!
You teachers are no fools,
But looking down your crooked noses and sneering as though we're the fools,
The fools that know nothing but that's what we're here for.
Your to teach we're to learn,
That was the deal I believe we paid for.
And believe it or not we need to sleep,
I'm sick of workin' so hard I have to eat cheap.
I wake up at five to see you at six,
And then one of you expects me to eat with chop-sticks.
I have nine or you teachers,
You all are different yet the same some of you wear loafers others wear sneakers.
I stay up late to make your date,
And maybe by eight I will have ate.
And the concerts!
Don't let me get started!
I love them I do, and I love you too,
But sometimes I wish that only we parted!
I have three you see,
On three different nights in every new season,
And all I want is for you to see reason!
There are more than just me who play in all three,
Please give us a rest and allow us to breathe!
My math is so long it keeps me uptight,
I do it so late when I wake my socks won't fit right!
It even follows me into the night,
And then I have English that's not very light.
Oh the torturous tales that enter this life!
Even Hamlet would shudder in fright.
So please can't you see,
Or at least recognize my plea.
I need some time that's only for me,
Give me a break and at least let me feel free!
