Freedom Trapped

Freedom is what they called it, Locked away in cages Exams that told if we were meant to have such a thing We came to this place running towards a dream A dream that seems so fate now Animals can call this their home as we say Wild, untamed and contagious they thought But this place was the test if we were truly meant for the U.S So close to it but so many barriers to face Trying to stop us from a taste of the good life as they say No one knew we had to go through hell in order to reach heaven Where are the Angels at on this island? That foreseen our fate But all were seen were the demons that condemned us Where the walls drip of the melodies of our pain that of a new day Each of us wrote the many poems That justifies our plea The evidence is plain as day Found Guilty they were for leading us to a place that should be called an Freedom Trap
