Freedom Truncated

Solipsism:  sol·ip·sism

/ˈsäləpˌsiz(ə)m/

Latin: solus (alone) and ipse (self)

Definition: solipsism is the belief that only one's own mind is certain to exist

Political definition: Solipsism is ideological self-centeredness-where a leader acts as though only their perspective or interest are valid. This can lead to authoritarianism and refusal to engage with pluralistic viewpoints.

Individual: Solipsism is extreme egocentrism or narcissism

Synonyms: Egocentricity, Narcissism, Self-absorption, Egomania

Use it in a sentence:

Solipsism silences the crowds of dissent.

Solipsism voids the voices of liberation that ascend—

To defy the shackles that mute us into obedience.

      Solipsism emerges

from rivers of indifference,

drowning discord,

drowning resistance.

To speak of freedom

is to have the freedom to speak.

The words of our forefathers are a crescendo,

      Leading our liberation.

Whispers reverberate—

     Echoes through canyon walls,

Stretching to overcome

     the blindness

that squelches the thirst to speak.

      Anger bleeds

against injustice.

                                       Freedom-

                                                                       Truncated.
