Freedom Without True Freedom

Our rights are made of gold

And those who say otherwise are bold

Our rights are meant to withhold

From falling into the abyss with those who keep their hearts cold

Where everything in uncontrolled

And where there’s no one to hold

Our rights are worth it to uphold

But what happens when those rights grow mold

And the hearts of the people grow old

The people know well that rights aren’t sold

At least that’s what they’ve been told

But there are those who are left out in the cold

While the rest are wearing gold

Leaving everyone else with no option but to fold

When they are asked to ease the cold

They just say “That’s not the way we have rolled”

They know not the rule of gold

If you say a word they scold

Clearly this truth is undersold

But be bold

Because once the rules are told

And our rights remold

The people will behold

And the times of old

Will no longer be the way that it’s told

The days ahead will unfold

And will transform the lives of the cold

Where freedom will truly be gold
