Freedom Writer

I am Freedom's poet. I speak of it, but I can't speak for it, Because Freedom has it's own voice. I can't ignore it. But I am... I am Freedom's poet. I let it lay on my lips after it rests on my heart. I let it frolic in the meadows of my mind. I let it burn like fire in my eyes making them glisten and glitter.... glisten and glitter with joy. Because I am Freedom's poet, it is Freedom I wish to deploy. But I need freedom to employ... me. I am Freedom's poet. I give ear to its voice, because I refuse to ignore it. I give my step a pep, because I cannot contain it. The Joy. Oh! The Joy... Of Freedom! Oh the joy of being Freedom's poet. Only when you've been in the pits of captivity, can you really appreciate the power of liberty. And that's why I write... I write because I am Freedom's Poet.

You are indeed freedom's poet for you write about it and you use it to write power messages in your poems. Once again, I can not wait to read what you craft up next. God bless you and keep writing on my friend:)!!!

I really like how you personify Freedom throughout the poem. My favorite line is "I let it frolic in the meadows" because of the wonderful imagery. Have you ever written an Idyll poem? Check out how and more in the "Resources" section.
