Freedom for you

Penicillin, faux medicine

Oh, the joy of being American

Freedom of speech

Unless it contradicts the ideals of what you wish

Loving thy neighbor unless they are different

Collapse the women’s right to labor

Because there’s a man so sick and twisted

Minorities never have existed.

It’s a modern thing, right?

It makes me feel sick just to write.

Ban the books and ban the words

Ban thinking or speaking up.

Ban freedom of press or television

Ban the freedom of religion.

You know the government won’t care

Like the children; alive but dying.

‘Cause abortion’s murder

But school shootings and intentional starvation aren’t.

Equality for everyone, basic rights like safety, trial and bail

Who is a straight, white male.

The children dying in third-world countries are not the issue for them

It’s the boys wearing pink, so how could they think of what they don’t understand?

It’s not about protection

It’s about control.

The poor stay poor and the rich get richer

Who cares if a few thousand die?

Force them into their own mold

By a man, so white and old

Because that’s how it has always been

Oh, the joy of being American.

...You make me sick.
