Freedom's Bell

My dear once-friend whom I so long to see, We once presumed to know the other well. And though my heart so yearns to become free, Just silence can be heard from Freedom's Bell. It's hard to sing or fly trapped in a cage, This cage I once so longed to call my home. And though I've tried to leave, it's all so strange. I do not even know what I've become. You think I would forget you, well you're wrong. To think of you is my eyes' inundation. You think I would have found where I belong, If not with you, I have no confirmation. So long as I have years on me to chart, Your name will still be written on my heart.
