Freeing a Caged Bird

Sun, 11/09/2014 - 22:38 -- cruzb

She flies in the inner city.

Surrounded by different flocks, which one is best to join?

Colorful birds flying in the sky

Why can't she be more like them?

Wings, large and wide,

Soft feathers that can comfort at touch.

She doesn't have that.

Does this mean she isn't special?

So she flies away, searching for an answer.

Who should she be?

How do you become the best bird in town?

Suddenly, she hears a voice.

"Don't fret little one, you are as special as the others

for I made you darling. Don't be afraid to reach out. Leap into the skies!

Soar above the clouds and let go of the insecurites keeping you locked in a cage".

Happy and excited, she listened to the voice and drifted above the clouds,

Seeking new adventures with her true self.
