“Serendipity” by Shelby Smith

What makes a miracle, one may ask.
Would it not be the awe God imposes upon us
When a newborn child first cries?
Or when a rainbow is spotted in the midst of a storm?
Or when the earth shakes, the wind breaks, and the
Rain seemingly washes life away, but our hearts and minds remain?
Or when the stars shine brightly on a calm winter night?
Or when one wakes from a peaceful rest?

Every night and day is a miracle within itself.
Each exemplifying its own joy.
Sharing this joy is a miracle, as well;
For the joy we share with our neighbors is
How miracles begin.
A shared love that never ends.
