Fresh

A beautiful friend, Entropy.

Neither a formless void
nor blinding radiance
join us in solidarity

Darkness is the primal fear
A solemn refuge from the alternative

We herald a light in the sky each day
Yet we cannot lay our eyes upon it
lest it destroy us

Temper it, mottle it, seize it.
For in grey there is distinction.
