Fresh Start

The secrets are out,

They’re all exposed,

There’s still some darkness,

These times are tough,

But my heart,

Which once was heavy

With all the secrets I hid inside,

My heart feels lighter than a butterfly,

My heart feels happier,

And I feel the sun

Sending its sunbeam of love

Through the frosted window,

And I can feel the snow melting,

The temperature rising,

The ice breaking,

With the promise of spring.

writers_gonna_write

I have been writing poetry for 5 years now and I have a collection of over 600 original poems I've made. I submitted a poem to Appelley Publishing and was published in the 2018 addition of their poetry book. I love to read and write, and I have a cat and a hamster.
