Fresh starts

There was hardly ever time off

School always kept me busy.

Growing up was hard and fast

I was just getting started.

In the real world,

I act like nothing bothers me,

but inside I am ready to burst...

Ready to burst my hunger for knowledge.

I wanted to know!

I was naive and knew nothing

Quiet and timid, they saw me.

Now, they can’t say the same.

I have blossomed like a titan arum

Between weeds and bugs,

I managed to grow.

From dependent to Independent.

Now I have a more “Down to Earth” perspective of my future.

I guess being a student doesn’t distance me as far as I thought.

To the white snow like paper that cuts like a knife...

I can’t guarantee pure success

I get to school, I am one of the lucky ones.

A daughter of hardworkers

A sister of five

I belong where my heart desires,

I get to make fresh starts.

A Doctor or a Lawyer, to little or unemployed

A test or two to determine our future.

How could you not be paranoid?

To mark a stand for a future...

All it takes is to grow.
