Freshly 15

The excitement of starting high school still within me,

I was just freshly fifteen when I got my first job.

I was just freshly fifteen when I started juggling work & school.

I was just freshly fifteen when I learned how to manage a bank account.

I was just freshly fifteen when I began to understand taxes.

I was just freshly fifteen when I grew up.

I'd give it all to tell freshly fifteen me that she is amazing,

I'd hug her, telling her she doesn't need to work during the week,

she should enjoy her freedom and friends,

because she will continue to work her whole life.
