Freshman Year of College
Freshman year of college she’s parent’s free
Partying courageously screaming with anticipating excitement of being on her own,
Not having to answer to anyone or take care of anyone but herself
Unbounded and free is all she ever wanted.
Freshman year of college boys are everywhere
Waiting like predators seeking out their next prey
Acquainted with that knowledge she’s willing to risk it
Like a rebellious child.
Freshman year of college budgeting was not what she was expecting
Cutting back on the things she was used to buying
Spending more time in the cafe then with fast food
She partied less it took up too much time and money.
Freshman year of college if it wasn’t one class it was all of her classes
She begins to struggle,
She couldn't get by using the same work methods she did back then
Studying became part of her hobbies.
Freshman year of college she came to the realization shes not kid anymore
She didn't know that being in college came with this amount of responsibilities
Learning how to prioritze and balance things
It was becoming too complicated.
Freshman year of college she gets the responibilites of being a young adult
Things are starting to come together
She sees what it takes to becoming a young adult
She realizes she’s not a kid anymore
Freshman year of college.
