Friday Verses.
Oh how I don't miss going through the coming-of-age stage
Where, oh my gosh, I felt nothing but spontaneous rage
Where my thoughts were tossed around like a ping-pong ball
The numerous times I slipped and tripped, yet no one caught my fall
I was a puppet who had snipped it's own strings, tried to stand up on my own
But with no strenght from above, I was left lost in the unknown
So I blamed my family, I blamed myself, at a young age a blamed the Big Man for my misery
Why would He let me go through this tornado of explosive emotions? Its a mystery
I tried to conquer the lion making rash decisions
Turning my back on my problems and running away with no recognitions
In a flash, the lion caught up to me and turned me into a mess
The lion had taken me into the dark, and I couldn't have felt more hopeless
Escape was futile, why should I even struggle? Why should I even run?
This my punishment for living my life the way I wanted, yep I am so done
I was lost, full of confusion and now I had to accept I was just bait
Until the Big Hunter came around and made sure to change my fate
"How can I ever repay you?" I asked thankfully
He responded, "I don't want money, I don't want blood, I just want your love for eternity."
