Perfect princess Placed so high on a pedestal It’s oh so endless All the praise, they cheer you on No one knows that you’re not happy Where will they be when you fall? Just lift up your long sleeves The fresh scars tell it all Broken princess In pieces on the floor now It seems so senseless At the first sign of trouble they left you Shattered in pieces on the floor Everyone knows your secret now You contemplate an escape Tonight, you decide, you’ll end your life Beautiful princess Put the blade down It would be disastrous To lose someone I love so much I’ve been where you are I promise you’ll get past this Every day an uphill battle But you’re stronger than you know And I won’t let you fall
