Friend

There sits a friend,

him do I trust. He looks at me,

his furrowed-plain and pure heart

speak clear comfort. Caring, ne'r unattenful,

but lightbringer, and confidant, and so lingers peace.

This poem is a member of my family that has helped me more than I can say; he has always been there for me. In attempt to, in some small way, repay the enormous debt I owe him, I seek opportunities to serve those who are hurting around me. He gives me peace, and I am grateful.
