A Friend

There was a friend,

a friend that helped everybody,

but herself

A friend that liked to draw

She drew pictures but nobody saw

She was very artistic

It wasn't ordinary drawing though

She liked to draw in the bathroom

Though she didn't use pen and paper

She always needed a bandage

We stood in our,

"Sacred Place."

She rolled up her sleeves and showed me her scars

She was embarrassed and looked at the floor

Then I pulled my pants down and whispered,

"I draw too'.'
