A friend

Someone to talk to when in distress,
No matter how dire,
So blessed to possess,
A bond so strong, raging with fire.
Starting with a spark,
Although looks bleak,
Can't be seen in the dark,
When it is too weak.
To achieve a flame so great,
Pride is meaningless,
There is no room for hate,
And love is seemingless.
Sacrifices are made,
Love is lost,
Battles are fought,
Till an inevitable exhaust,
The flame must be sought,
And achieved at all cost.
