A Friend

It is hard to walk alone in this world,

without an acquaintance, a buddy, or an ally.

Someone to help me when my tummy is all swirled

or someone to understand why I am wry.

A friend is what we all need.

It is hard to walk alone in this world without one.

It is almost as hard as taking the SATs or AP tests.

Without that someone special, who can you tell a great pun

or laugh at the people who are pests?

A friend is what we all need.

It is hard to walk alone in this world, without someone to rely on.

So you can cry with, yell at, or love unconditionally.

Someone you can watch the moon become dawn.

and someone that you can continue to be friends and additionally,

A friend is what we all need.

Without one, we can not truly be our best without someone to plead with, bleed with, and read with.

Friends. They. Are. What. We. All. Need.
