The Friend I've Always Wanted
A true friend
I had no clue of one
Although it was believed I had a ton
I had no one I could trust
Just people who fussed
That was until we met
It seemed we were the perfect duet
It's strange to me how I trusted you so patently
I was fond of your spirituality
I've prayed for someone like you
Prayers do come true
I feel safe when we speak
I'm glad to see you at least once a week
Your smile and open ears give me peace
I would never want this friendship to cease
