Friend Not Foe
Most people know how Hansel and Gretel goes
You think you know what the old lady’s intentions imposed
But have they ever thought about the story if the lady was nice
Not being described as cold as ice
You might be surprised at what you come to find
Who knows because maybe she was actually sweet and kind
Maybe the old lady wasn’t looking for something to eat
She just felt alone and wanted some new friends to meet
Her reputation might have been wrongfully tainted
Because with no real friends was she acquainted
Try thinking positively next time
When you read about a villain in a rhyme
It could be fun to come up with
A new story and storyline with no deserved comeuppance
