Friend or Foe?

They say, "keep your friends close

But your enemies closer."

I ask, then, how do you know?

Who is your friend

And who is your foe?

One moment it's sunshine

And happiness and laughter.

The next, a storm rolls in

Our world's a disaster.

A beautiful maiden,

She has snuck up behind.

All our hearts,

They become intertwined.

My friend now a foe,

We both chase her heart.

Well, I never knew love

Could tear us apart.
