A friend or none?

Am I clingy?
Am I weird?
Am I annoying?
Am I the girl in need of sympathy?

No?
Then why do they look at me
Like I am the odd one out?
Like they feel bad for me?
When I fight with her,
I have no one else.

I have no one that looks at me
Like I am me.
Like a human
And not a bug
Waiting to be smushed.

I have no one that looks at me
Like a friend,
Like someone they laugh with and
Talk with
And want to be with.

Getting sympathy hurts.
It hurts so far down that you don’t
Know where
You don’t know where it hurts

You want to scream at them,
Make them stop.
But do they even know that they
Stare?

Do they even know that their eyes
Burn you?
Do they even know
That you are wishing the world was without friends?
Because then, the heartbreak would be no
More.
