A Friend Until The End

Life has a meaning
Filled with wonders and frights
Though, life has a friend

Who’s not quite delight

You go on with Life

While his friend leers
Lingering in his shadow
Waiting for him to leave
Death seems to follow
Even in your dreams

Quite frankly, he is alarming
For you never know his next move
And while Life may be present
He’s also transient
And one day Death might instantly
Grab on to you

He follows me everywhere I go
At school, in public, and even in my own home
Afraid of him I am

Think of him I do

But to let him terrify me forever

Is something I won’t do

I’ll go on with Life

He’s my friend till the end

Enjoying my time with him

Experiencing his wonders and frights

Death can scare me

But he will never stop me

From going on with my life
