Friends Are Not a Blur

Friendships are something that will surely last.
They will stay with me and be true.
Friends are not a blur that quickly goes past.

I am walking with friends through the wood;
There are many plants and animals around.
I find the situation wholesome and good.
It is where many of my happy memories are found!

Traversing with friends here and there,
With nary a single worry or care.
What is better than that?
A situation where I can relax at the drop of a hat?

I do not have to find friends in a physical place;
I can meet them in an Internet space.
There they are idle;
There is no need to give chase,
For they will not judge me by the look of my face.

Friends are more than those with me at my location,
They can look past my every flaw,
They can fill me with much elation,
And my heart they can slowly thaw.
They accompany me for a long duration.
And this…
…This fills me wholly with awe

Friendships are something that will surely last.
They will stay with me and be true.
Friends are not a blur that quickly goes past.
