Friends to the end

Boom head shot.
Comrade down.
The river of blood is flowing.
Cover is your best friend.
Stained with death.
The air around you is being sliced up.
3 o’clock up top!
Instinct kicks in.
You pop up facing 3 o’clock.
Boom head shot.
Hostile down.
Nice shot Comrade!
Just following orders.
If killing is a sin.
Is it wrong to kill the person.
Who would kill your comrades?
You clutch the cross.
God forgive me.
Your comrades provide cover fire.
You move to a flanking position.
Cover is again your best friend.
Your gun is no longer lifeless.
Boom headshot.
Hostile down.
Your gun takes life.
The air around is being sliced up.
You duck into your cover.
Friends can also be your worst enemy.
You don’t see death coming.
He flies through the air.
Coming for your blood.
You hear a plop land next to you.
Death has come to claim his prize.
Good bye friend.
Boom.
