Friendship

Friends are forever

This is not so

People tend to come and go

On to better things

Always after the new fad

And when that fad doesn't include you

You become obsolete

You've served your purpose

You've just been used 

They didn't want you

Just the things you could do

However, there are those few

The ones who stay

Through the pain

They want you for who you are

They never want to change you

Or rearrange the person you are meant to be

They never want to flee

They stay by you

Through thick and thin

Even if there is nothing in it for them

They always stay 

Even when you try to push them away 

They remain
