Friendship Long Gone

On the day that I met you, it was all a blur

I thought we could be best buddies

But I guess not anymore

You saw straight through my weakness and tore my heart apart

Many years have passed now and I wonder how you are

I hope that you are happy

And have moved on like I have

Even though our friendship did not last very long at all

I still think about you from time to time

Just to wish you well

You tore my heart to pieces and hope that does not happen again

But I need to thank you

For making me stronger than I was before
