Friendship Prayer

The loss of love from friendships known,

feeling the pain, truly alone.

Why is friendship lost at such a cost?

with humiliation from the outright unjust!

What happened to the friend within?

feeling lost with a crushed dream.

Sought councel here, sought counsel there,

but, tell me please who really cares?

What a cold World, I must say,

feeling lost with great dismay.

A way back to love without any hate,

for friendship’s sake, it seems too late.

That’s what seems to be the gruesome reality,

but it’s not the truth; it’s not even finality.

Wishing and praying for someone to care,

it’s just too much alone to bear.

Fix my broken heart again,

make me purely whole within.

Take the wrong people away from me,

replace them with a heart that’s truely carefree.

Help me let the bad things go,

how to do it myself, I don’t know.

To new friends open the door,

Clean my cluttered heart down to the core.
