Frozen

The thermostat
Set at
Below zero degrees
To preserve these memories
Freeze
Our moments in time
So sublime
Like an art gallery
A live Instagram
Of the history
Of me and you

A kilogram
Of love and a pinch of pain
All the things we went through
Our times in the rain
And thunder
All of this wonder
So mysterious
Leaving us delirious
But we will never take back the experience
Only grievance
For the moments that perish
The ones we want to cherish
But can never relish
So we embellish
The bad parts
The stories from the start
Of the broken hearts
The  ones we wish to delete
And burn
Set  ablaze
Forget certain people we would meet
The things  we did in our younger phase
After we were taught the lessons we would later learn
Now we are stuck here to yearn
For these memories
Back....
