Frozen

Elsa sat alone in a corner of dark,

The windows were frosted,

The room was stark.

She wallowed in the words of "conceal; don't feel,"

But desperately she wanted to break this whole ordeal.

"What would have happened?" she thought and pondered,

"If the people knew about my powers?

If they had known from the very beginning,

There would be no fear in my heart,

I would be glowing and grinning.

This terror inside me would not keep me locked away,

I would be free, and beside my sister all day.

We would not be blocked by the barrier of a door,

We would be together, together forevermore."

But here now, the past is gone,

The whole world is moving on.

There Elsa must sit, in her frozen den,

Thinking to herself,

"What might have been."
